Production Manager

Fixed Term Contract

42 hours per week

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

- Plan, coordinate and manage day-to-day production activities to ensure timely delivery of products.

- Monitor and optimize production schedules.

- Lead, mentor and manage production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance skills and improve performance.

- Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Analyze and improve production workflows to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards.

- Develop and manage production budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.

- Ensure continuous improvement for engineering and manufacturing processes.

- Use of Lantek Software for CNC Plasma.

Essential Criteria:

A minimum of 5 years experience in production management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Solid understanding of quality control processes and health & safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems is an advantage.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

- Experience with high-level, moving assemble processes would be a distinct advantage.
