Design/Mechanical Engineer

Fixed Term Contract

42 hours per week

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

- Producing bill of materials and build specifications required for manufacturing.

- Contribution and implementation of LEAN manufacturing.

- Providing internal departments with drawings required for the various operations.

- Review workshop drawings to ensure they are accurate and complete.

- Preform calculations to determine the quantity of materials needed for production.

- Communicate with customers or other members of the team to discuss technical details.

- Coordinate with other team members to schedule manufacturing operations.

- Liaising with logistics regarding national and international loads.

- Compose information for type approval requirements to both UK and European standards.

Essential Criteria:

Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering essential.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role within manufacturing and/or related industries.
Strong understanding for Agri Machinery.
SolidWorks.
AutoCAD software or similar.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software – general computer skills.

Desirable Criteria:

- Minimum 1 year experience of CAD design software

- Knowledge of FEA

- Knowledge of NPD

- Experience in technical design environment.
